Simon Majumdar was introduced to us as someone who ‘would like to visit you around midday for a couple of hours on Wednesday 4 March. He would like to see how your sea salt is made and learn the history behind Halen Mon.’
Simon is one half of the Welsh-Bengali brothers behind Dos Hermanos, a literate blog with a cultish following. Simon was voted one of the 1,000 most influential people in London in 2008 by The Evening Standard. He is busy researching his second book called Eating for Britain which necessitates travelling around the UK in search of the dishes that define what it means to be British.
As things turned out, he was able to come the previous evening and we spent a thoroughly enjoyable time with him which you can read all about in www.doshermanos.co.uk
